About the Show
In The Wifebeater in 5C three neighbors chat over Zoom during the pandemic. When they overhear a neighbor beating his wife they decide to do something about it. The play was part of Places! A Virtual Play Lab produced by Theatre Unmasked, an online theatre group created during the pandemic. The lab featured nine 10-minute plays written, rehearsed, and performed in just one week. It was a whirlwind production full of incredible plays. I am so grateful I was a part of it and was able to continue making theatre even while venues were shut down.
